Thats fine, as long as they have up to ress. So many times in war, i've had 'Pure warjus' here, i've been to about three fort wars, where NONE of the conjus had up to heal ally. That really put warjus in the bad book for me, any conju with any setup is fine, as long as they have up to ress in healing tree. Its not that many points, come on!

Could it be that Gigo really hasn't got a 100% warjurer setup? At least that was my impression from some other posts of him. He uses zarkit lv 4, the points went somewhere else, believe it or not .
And @ cumeri: There are quite some full support conjus who hunt all the time. And if you ask Mehgan, you will be told that using zarkit/mental/magnifications doesn't help vs sotw + confuse attacks at all. With some high lv attack spells/summon you just gain more rp during hunts and have more fun with single enemies. But on the other hand single enemies shouldn't be a threat to your group, so from point of group effectiveness it's just wasted points. mental spells on low lv for tactical purposes are quite ok though (with my old setup a few months ago I killed a warlock with my last breath and ivy lv 3 for 18 rp since the rest already died, resisting/evading 3 ambush and 1 silence during the cast time with dome + mind blank) On the other hand: whenever your allies drag some attention it is more effective to use a full support setup. It doesn't necessarily depend on the number of your allies, sometimes it is just the characters reputation which makes people not focussing too much on the conjurer I guess, lol.

Warlocks can actually be set up to be pretty good support players too. We have a fairly low level (maybe lvl 40?) lock in Syrtis named Eldeyken(sp?) who has lvl 4 cat reflexes, wits, bless, and bless weapon. He may not do any damage, but he makes any party immensely stronger, probably stronger than if he was a lvl 50 offensive warlock. The other day we were fighting by PB, and i ran into a low 40s mage. With all the buffs he gave me plus DF, i killed the mage in 4 regular arrow attacks. LOL. |

Here's a screen shot of Eldekyen's handiwork. 458-547 regular bow attack with DF cast!!!
I wonder if he gets many RP in these battles when he buffs us all, he should, because my character is like a killing maching when buffed to that extent. What a way for a low lvl warlock to dominate the battlefield without ever firing a single shot. You may never see his name in your log as his enemy, but HE is a great player. What an asset to our realm. |
