Sexist is that you can look beyond the skirt of female archers when they are in progress to rest. I just noticed some mins ago when I had a deeper study of movement of female characters in regnum.

If you look at the characters designs, all of them are stylized; specially female characters! (I don't know about your body type, but most women I know don't look like that, only models maybe)

I think you got used to the fact that we just had one animation for male and female, and women used to walk just like men, so your reaction is because of how this animation contrasts the other.

We used Motion-Capture references, and we did asked all the women working in our offices(5, including one artist) to comment if it was right, and not offensive.

We just can't believe that you find this offensive. Compared to other games Regnum is much more conservative in these matters, but having female characters walk as male characters was not a viable / attractive / realistic option.

I also won't be playing for a while because I can't play the way I enjoy to play, with speed and the ability to move around. It penalizes my characters and style of play, so therefore I won't play until I am happy to do so.

I have yet to log in, but they tried the SLOW walk backwards speed before and it was such a TOTAL disaster that they removed the change in about 48 hours.

With the massive damage of SC/Barbs- something that ALL players agree about, and something that you couldn't even be bothered to fix, how the hell could you nerf backwards moving speed?

Didn't you see the posts i posted about 28 blocks in ONE Pvp vs a knight? They're almost impossible for an archer to beat to begin with. And still shield pierce or the LB tree is totally unchanged even though we've been asking for action on that front for MONTHS.

To top it off you open a new server, keep us players completely in the dark about the details, don't offer any bonus XP to swap or allow character transfers, as if you expect that all these new english players are going to suddenly show up out of the blue. Because why let the english players that want to move their characters move, right? Nah, that would make too much sense.

What the hell are you people at NGD thinking?



I cannot comment on the female movements yet, but i do know that i do not want to walk around like some cheap slut. If it's as bad as many are saying here it is just one more self-inflicted wound that NGD will have created for itself. Hopefully it's not that bad.

But as a whole, perhaps it's WoW time again for me. I also just heard of another new MMO that's out, that Necrovaron_Syrtis has been playing and trying to get the daggers to go to. I think it's definitely time to check that one out.
