How does aggro work?
In all the MMORPG games that I have played, aggressiveness (agro) of mobs is based on the range of the player. I've been playing this game for less then 2 weeks and have not seen any agro of mobs except when I attack them. Right now I'm a level 13 warrior.
So is there no agro throughout the entire game or do the mobs actually get agro in later levels? On an unrelated note, whats the best way to find NPC's in towns. I get very frustrated trying to find the NPCs that have quests (after finding their names from the town cryer)? Thanks for your help! |

agro exists but is rare compared to other mmos. You´ll find that almost every champion/epic/legendary mob will agro inmediately at certain fixed range. Aditionally, some other mob types may agro if you walk past them (golems, toltars, goltars, thralls, certain hienas, wolves, orcs, cyclops and similar) but they are nowhere near as dangerous.
Also, use the v key to show every player/npc name on your line of sight, it´s as if you could select them all at once :P Have fun. |

Yes, it's full of aggro mobs at the warzone (golems, for example).
And to find npcs, use this tool: http://rolgps.sourceforge.net. It's in english too, all you have to do is to choose the language. We (some users) are working on a complete rewrite because that program is kind of old...

Aggro has been ridiculously toned down as of a few patches ago. Used to be that you couldn't go 100m without getting a train of cyclopses behind you

Onteron has added this functionality to the wiki:
http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/NPC_list You can also check out http://www.regnumzg.com.ar. You can search for NPC's under Oracle --> Citizens.

Thanks for the response.
So I used the wiki that has the GPS coordinates. They are surely better then nothing; however, I am still frustrated in locating the NPCs. Its just not intuitive at all. A map would be much better but the site that has the maps doesn't include cities from the Syrtis region. Do you know if the devs have any plans for a mini-map that would have NPC locations? Or how about a search util inside the game that would provide the location and route to the NPC? Thanks |
