Constant crashing since update this evening.

Today, April 7th, there was an update I think. And, ever since,
my game would crash randomly 5 minutes into the game. Sorry
for posting another help topic, but I noticed some other people crashing also.
Although it might not make a difference, I have Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, and I have
an ATI Radeon x1200 video card.

same system .. nvidia card same problem .. seemed to be when i moved off the first screen for me
had a sound problem as well ( effected whole computer .. whether it was this or the update from linux i dont know .. reboot fixed that)

on the bright side my update on my 8.04 machine has taken 5 hours and seems to stall a lot .. so that one might still be working ( regnum only im not going to update the linux till i give this a try to see if the prob was there )

... ps .. didnt fix the stall on firewall check either

I've same kind of problems : I'm disconnected every 5 minutes (I've checked the connection/disconnection time) from the game
with the message "you have been disconnected from the server, press enter to accept"

note that there's not "press another key to refuse"

I have to wait some timeout to re-connect again

Is it a bug or a new punishment for bad players ?

I'm on ubuntu 8.04, nvidia graph. card and I use a router to connect home's network to Internet

also note that I never get any error messages or anything saying
I've been disconnected, my client just shuts down. Also,
I think they released a hotfix for this. It sort of helps.

Ever since the latest update, and including today, I can't even get in the game... after the first animation scene, I just see a black screen, not even the second scene with the story line....

I have the same problem with Ubuntu 8.10 and GeForce 6600 with 180 driver version

ok ... i loaded the update without loading the linux update .. the game works and doesnt crash
but the graphics are really strange .. all the ground is black in places and lots of places are just black .. but there is monsters there

I've loaded the new client wile connecting this morning, and all seems OK.

Yes, albeit lagful, it is working.
