weapon sockets and gems

I was wondering if i had things correct here (feel free to correct if not):

-You can drop weapons with sockets in them, from mobs?
-You can drop gems to put in the sockets, from mobs?
-You can buy a premium scroll to add a socket to a weapon without one (eg, a weapon that you already had before the update)?
-You can fit only one gem per weapon, except for mag weaps, which can have 2 gems fitted?

It would be useful to have a list of available gems, so that you can hold out for the one you want the most, instead of fitting a gem and then getting a better one but too late. (I know there are scrolls to remove gems, but not everyone can buy xym).

If there is no such list, then maybe start a thread (or use this one) to show pics of gems you found. I for one would like to know what is available before i fit a gem to a socketed weapon.

Recently on Tyr I found a Major Azurite from a Young Troll, which gives +7 lightning damage.

got my first one today, bit disappointing tho: minor cyanite +2 ice dmg.

Does anyone know if these gems are lvl-specific - eg, the best ones drop from high lvl mobs?

To sum it up... it's not really worth to spend ximerin for a socket

"Premium Content won't affect balance"... NGD was right.

I really wonder if there are better gems.

For two days the best gem i saw is +15 dmg there are probably better i don't know but if not the magna weapons will be weak.
