First impressions

Ok, now the new update is here, and there is my piece of mind on that:

1) I changed strafe and direction keys after 10 minutes
2) sure, I changed camera style, too (losing ability to quick turn, but what a hell)

After this, I have nothing special on movement.

3) my conjurer is weaken but, I don't care, what happened to me, same happened to other conjurers, so I will live on with shorter Sanctuary (6 sec less) duration, and Bless weapon level 5 10% decreased

4) position system is not good - I see friend running behind me, he sees me running behind him

5) when I try to cast magic on other player and he is shown in front of me but I can't do it because he is not really there

6) when I am casting magic, I cannot rotate camera

4,5 and 6 is pissing me off

Beside that, I did not noticed any big differences in rps received during a battle.

Please tell me your impressions.

Game dies in horrible and painful agony.
It seems that reanimation and shock therapy will not help.
I always keep optimism, I have more time to use it for good deeds after I left this "game".

Dont piss on corpse, just leave.

I must say, so far it has not been as bad as I expected.
Those who knows me should know I am not the guy acting without trying, so ofcourse I decided to try out the new changes and see how they will affect me before I decide to quit or whatever.

Anyway, my experiences from yesterday are pretty good.
On RA I have yet to see one enemy using strafing/mouse look (from what I can see), so whole yesterday felt just like before with a few differences:

• The game is much more smooth.
  I have better FPS than in 1.0.6 and the new animation timing makes fighting/buffing feel so fluent.
• Alot of players were online, searching for the new gems - which created some nice action, and I enjoyed it alot.
• I had a few problems hitting people, I don't know why.
  I saw Arafails reported something similar though...
• 95% of my Kicks were resisted somehow, on many different players/classes. Bad luck?
  No other spell got resisted as much in the whole evening.
• The new Onslaught sucks (didn't reskill yet).
• I can no longer run (pressing W), press Enter and type since my movement keys won't get stuck anymore
  The old, buggy variant was really comfortable to be honest.

That's about it.

Only real issue I got was getting "stuck" in the chat box, If I tried to move cam it just resized chat box, if I tried to move q/w/e/s then it just typed in the box, arrow keys now dont work, If I sent a message I was instantly back in the typing box. Esc wouldent work, only fixed by killed the process, hasnt happened again since.

v+enter doesn't work anymore too. This sucks for conjurers.

Anyway the game is indeed smoother.

I played for a litle while after update, and i can only say 1 thing... because of the new command keys, i can no longer play during work on my laptop touchpad!

I tried it out, rejigged the controls a little and worked fine with it. The only thing is I had a form of minor lag wherever I went, which warped into some bigger lag whenever I went to a town or fort. Was quite annoying...maybe because there was a lot of users trying this new update?

P.S. : It would be cool if we could socket weapons WITHOUT payment. Doesnt the bonus of a socketed weapon give the player an advantage in war?

Not with the gems I've found so far....

Stop looking for them then, come on, half the people I know have spent the whole day looking for these gems instead of warring, way to go NGD.

The new camera controls are awkward in large scale war. With the changes in movement, ALL of the game controls SHOULD BE remappable.
