concernin server switches

I would like everybody to stay, since spanish-speakers are not allowed on Horus.

If I want to play with an english-speaker mate... I just can do it at Ra, I don't have the chance to choose/transfer some chars to other server (I live in an spanish speaker country, so no option for me). It means that when they will give the opportunity for the single and free transfer... I won't be able again in game to play/speak/contact/fight against that people...

I prefer to play in an international server where I can enjoy a wide experience (culture, languages, etc), than just getting stucked in my cultural and language limitations. I am not asking NGD to develop a game just for me where they offer that, it exists already since the beginning!! That's what Ra has been for a long time, no-matter-where-you-come-from home. This game bigger richness has been always that for me. I met ppl all around... And now it seems it was just going to be wasted.

In fact, I started the game because one of my best friends (french) and I could play together, teaming up. And when we begun to create our chars, grind, level up, etc. they never told us that one day we will be segregated... We would never arrive to lvl 10 if we would have known that.

I feel that the option to change servers is wonderful.

This will open up more trade opportunities for people that in the past could not trade with other users due to language barriers.

This will open up more tactical advantages in war with percision attacks to the enemy due to less of a language barrier.

This will hopefully populate a desolate server Horus and bring in more users to the English side, more users... more premium chances.

Since the change is not being forced on you, it is good!

And why are people talking about this transfer system like we will see it in the next update? It's probably not going to be worked on for awhile, maybe not even worked on at all. All Chilko did was highlight the slight possibility, and we have hundreds of threads pop out over night.

because its huge news, and something every1 has been begging for, since horus opened just got acknowledged by NGD as possible. Only natural for ppl to get excited

RA actually gets player from Horus from time to time, new fresh blood, and why is that?
I think that the English community on RA will never die ... atleast not as long as people like me or KnuckOne are around.

By making clear that I will stay on RA, I do exactly the opposite to what the people leaving for Horus did.
I believe in the English community on RA, those who likes to play with me will stay and those that likes to play with them will stay too.
We need to create a positive chain reaction to give people a reason to stay on RA.

Hopefully, people can still feel that the English community on RA is small but existant and that it will remain so.
Hopefully, this will encourage new English people to join RA too.

A new english speking player will most likely join the "International/English" server over the "International/Spanish" one. And since today even more likely hell join the "English" Server over the "Spanish" one.

I dont think there will be much fresh blood, no realmchat makes it even harder to get in contact with those newcomers and get them to stay with all the Spanish speaking newbies around.

English community is condemned to die out on RA. Happened with the german, will happen to the english.

Another benefit maybe that some of us veteran players who are taking a break from the game may come back in the hopes of having a more established player base on Horus. I know part of the reason I left the game (I'm doing clan website design and management right now) was that I was tired of trying to mentor some teens and tweens that wouldn't listen, besides the obvious game mechanic problems with the warrior class.

Maybe an influx of veteran players can be a good thing for those of us on Horus. Maybe (big maybe) the three realms will stop fort whoring and do some actual open field battles (imho the best part of RvR). Also some realms would be better manned during the different time zones hopefully providing a more constant less stagnant experience.

Put the flag on the top of your hill, but realize the hill may shrink, grow, stay the same or disappear entirely and besides some personal influence there isn't much you can do about it. So rather than the friendly bickering back and forth, try to look at it from an outside or positive point of view.
