Yeah, welcome to the game and all that I'm sure one of us will be mocking the other's sundered corpse soon enough.
Of course, that's assuming you joined the Horus server, which I don't believe anyone has bothered to find out yet?

There is no level limit for wz
One can actually have a laugh and even do some use with a very low level character in the warzone running with regular level warzone players. Human players don't resist as much as mob of the same level does. I fooled around with a lvl 11 barb dwarf on Ra recently and found I could actually poke them a bit with my little spear (~100dmg with gutting(2)!) and score a feint here and there. Most players don't bother to lock on such a low level char when they have harder enemies to worry about, but a well timed feint can turn a fight, and it is humiliating to be knocked down by a noob char.

I had another go with a lvl 10 warlock. I didn't bother to skill it up in any particular way, but it seems "fuckemup"-skills is the way to go with noob chars. My favourites soon became Beetle Swarm and Slow.
One can also serve as a decoy. It is funny to see someone wasting mana and cd on an attack that deals 3 times as much dmg as the target's hp.
