This happens to both of the computers here too:
both are linux, one mandriva 2007, one debian etch. one with an nvidia geforce 7300GT & one with an nvidia geforce 7600GS. I've managed to capture a screenshot that shows pretty much whats going on. It could be a viewport or texture issue. It happens reguardless of the Anisotropic Filtering & Antialiasing settings and it started with the update thet changed the staff damage a few days ago. The screen judder is horizontal, never vertical and it is intermittent. It is always horizontal regardless of the camera placement at the time (using the right mouse button to move the camera around or even above your character has no effect on the fact the judder is left to right) For us, it occurs mostly around menirah or the pines bridge. Once it starts, its good for one hell of a headache - please can you look in to what may have introduced this: it's never happened before. For a little more detail: In the screenshot, the screen has just bounced to the right - so look on the left hand side. The blur is not always present on the screen edge - but the screen is still juddering. I have a few screenshots which look almost as if the camera position is bouncing between 2 nearby points along a plane creating the same effect as the screen-shot highlights, but with perfect rendering: needless to say, it's harder to see from stills. the icons and frame are always neatly rendered regardless of what the background is doing - i'd assume that is from 2d drawing after the scene render and therefore unaffected by the camera/viewport/scene relationship. Thanks is advance NGD. If there are any logs that would help, or any measures I can take to test things for you, just shout I i'd be happy too. Logs may take a while though since the problem is intermittent. Last edited by icckleblackcat; 06-16-2007 at 01:47 PM. |

Twixie got that shaking screen too when he turned on high quality water, and it went away when he turned it off, so you could try that

The postprocess and high quality water are still in experimental stage (in their opengl version) so they still can have issues like this. You can disable them and play like always did

Does the postprocess option (with low quality water) have the same problem?

Thanks everyone - this is just first impressions but:
low quality water + post-process seems fine medium isn't basically it seems that only the water quality seems to bother anything, not the post process. |
