Global Warming is an umbrella term that means "we fucked up the climate, bro". This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't because we're also in a natural climate change age. And that sucks.

anyway, the water level is 710cm, which means it's still high, but it's better than 20cm to overflow. I'll call it safe when it's 600-630, and totally relaxed when it's normal, that means around 400cm :P

Second: is good to read good news, at least you country is holding up.

There is no reason to be apocalyptic in this topic, shit happens, so they said. Like already said Xephanador (a.k.a Artic Wolf), is probably the global warming, is a consequence of the human act on the planet. With regard to the President of Poland, is somithing too bad, but I do not think that is the retaliation of some god. Like I said, shit happens.

Good news: Water is normal level now, the flood wave will hit the sea soon, we hope that there will be no reverse wave.

Bad news: banks of the river will be damp for a long time and still are dangerous, as well as ground levels - they're high and buildings can still collapse.

The worst news: It's started raining again, storms are back and even the cities without any rivers nearby can be flooded by raising ground waters.

To sum up: We still are fighting this damn water, many cities and villages were underwater and over 100.000 people and their houses were harmed.

And it's a cyclical event. We're not surprised, we're frustrated that every damn time nobody in our government does anything about protection. We don't need new laws against building houses on the dangerous zones. It's up to insurance company whether they will pay for the damage. We need solid banks in the major cities and more special flooding areas so the water can be unleashed in an empty landscape, so the nature can solve the problem.


Anyway, I'm safe and my family is safe. Two streets collapsed near my mom's house and there was a danger of oil station to explode as well as huge 15 stories high building almost fell, heh, but it's all better now and thanks a lot guys for support and letting me unleash the nerves

Actually we know what is it. It was the volcano's fault, the huge cloud generated masses of storms that invaded our skies. It's a bit better atm.

No, my studies are fine and my home in Łódź too, but I worry about my mother, who almost drowned within her car in that rain /o\ and I worry about my house in Warsaw, and that the flood is rising, and it will rain till friday for sure.
