Crashes

Since version 1.6.1 I can barely play anymore, game crashes every 5 minutes or so. At first I thought my laptop was the problem, but I can play lots of other games, some that when it comes to graphics are way better than RO and would supposedly give me more problems.

Crashes happen in both windows 7 and Mint 8. All my drivers are up to date, and my laptop has all the minimun specifications required to play. (Processor: AMD Turion X2 ultra dual-core Mobile ZM-84 @ 2,3Ghz; 4Gb RAM; Graphic card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550)

Any thoughts as to why this happens or how it can be fixed?

Edit: Tried everything I could think of, including playing in safe mode and re-installing the game. Still crashing.

I have had same problem. with xp, and windows 7. thus i have been completely unable to play for months. I keep checking the forums hopin for some divine providence of information in something i've yet to try. As i have played this game since near inception it is upsetting, but i always hope.

Anyriand, You are running on shader 4?
Try to change it to 2.

I must say.. since football event ended i didnt crash that much anymore.. luckily. But i heard changing shader back to nr 2 mostly solves it
