Oh god. The river is breaking through the banks thorough whole country, destroying everything. It's been said around 3,500 breaches since morning. More and more collapses, every hour.
It's already been announced that food will cost two times as much due to destroyed plains. Destroyed train steel bridge:

Can't believe I haven't even heard about this whatsoever, and I check the news quite thoroughly every day. I guess that's England for you really.
So sorry to hear about this Piz, I'm pretty sure you'll get through this. As dreadful as it is at the moment, I fear for Poland post-flood especially if food is already to be twice the price. I went to Krakow back in April (and Auschwitz too, History trip) and the city was amazing, so it's sad to hear that and other cities like Warsaw have been hit badly... Hang in there Piz

Krakow was flooded as well, but it hangs in there pretty ok, just like Warsaw atm. I think they're cleaning up already after the water. I've heard Germany was flooded from Odra river, hope they're ok

This year was a quite destructive year for Poland mostly. I hope all will go well.

The flood is over, for now. We have some faint rain now, but it's much much better now and we're cleaning the damage. I really appreciate all of your kind words and keeping hopes for me, and my spirit in one piece. It was hell of a stressful month.
I saw the news about flash floods in America, Ohio and other surrounding states. I really sympathise. :| awful year

Any numbers of the losses and casualties? is not morbid, just to be informed. Sorry, google translator in that last phrase.

Around 12.000 of destroyed houses.
42.000 of people whose lifetime belongings were flooded and lost/destroyed. About 300 of villages/towns/cities were flooded. From what I know, there are around 25 dead people, and hundreds of totally destroyed houses also by just collapsing ground. These are just first impressions and the sum estimated to fix the basic needs is 10 billion zlotys. That's like 1/3 of our national debt. There's not really much to come back to for those people. We called it a thousand year flood, as the waters were higher than in last noted 160 years. Even Auschwitz was flooded. Flooded area example:
