ñ is possible for most people to type by pressing ~ and then n.
Both ö and ä can be written using " + o and a, but å can only be written by using a swedish keyboard layout or the alt codes afaik.

If you are in Ubuntu, go to System>Preferences>Keyboard.

Go to the "Layouts" tab and click on "Options"

Expand the "Compose" key position and pick a key. I chose right CTRL.

To create an Ñ press and hold your compose key (right CTRL on mine) then shift+grave then shift + N. When you release CTRL you should get a Ñ. For lowercase, press and hold the compose key, then press SHIFT+Grave then release shift then N. You will end up with a ñ. It works in-game.
