Do you get the segmentation fault when trying to start the actual game, after you've launched the game from the launcher?
Or do you get it as you try to start the launcher?

Hello,

your graphiccard is probably not supported by the ATI binary driver from Ubuntu 10.04. The newest binary ATI driver which supports your graphic card is Catalyst 9.3 from march 2009. But as fas as I know Catalyst 9.3 is not compatible with Ubuntu 10.04.

If you want to keep Ubuntu 10.04 and want to play Regnum under Linux, the best option you have it probably to install a linux version which is compatible with this old catalyt driver (and dual- or tripleboot with Ubuntu 10.04). I guess kernel versions up to 2.6.29 or 2.6.28 and xorg-versions up to 1.6 should be supported by Catalyst 9.3.

Or replace your graphiccard with a newer one...

Maybe I'm wrong and ubuntu 10.04 has somehow included support of radeon 9550 cards in their ati binary driver. But this is very unlikely and I don't know much about Ubuntu.

Ok, I finaly managed to start the game after instaling mesa-utils, and in dri put yes to Enable S3TC even if software is not avaible. But now when I click on the world I get :

drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -12. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info.
Found 1 messages leaked

I've tryed with lower resolutions, safe mode, etc, but it doesn't work...
