Yes, though not sure if they look different, but you can drop new items for levels 50-60. I found a level 58 elite marksman helm a few hours ago. I've also been told you can get new items from platinum boxes, but I haven't seen this myself.

Well of course it sucks for them, but in the end it's better that way. There are so many conceptual flaws in Regnum... If you only got rid of all of them that radically :P (Balance...)

Actually not, its completely flawed. If you bought an analog TV receiver, a really nice one and some time later they change evry damn channel to digital, and digital only, then you might be closer to a comparison like this.

Theres ppl who spent alot of Xim to get BiS items, of course theyre not happy that those items will become rather average if not outdated now.

Couple of points, okay five:

i) Hopefully all the extra grinding will be compensated with new drops, new skill and even more sick war.

ii) the game is moving on which is always good, I've been here over three years and no matter how mad this game makes me (aaagghh confuse again) I still keep coming back!

iii) Chilko - appreciate the work you guys do and the fact that you answer the people but I recommend not answering complaints (no matter how infuriating they make you) you can never win an argument against someone who is driven by emotion - you will just end up saying something that does NGD's public relations no good. It is clear and refreshing to see the passion you guys have for the game but its human nature people will always complain about something that annoys them much much much more than they will praise it for the joy it brings. (I'm guilty here too!)

iv) On those losing XP and boosters over 50 - don't be so dumb, this is a realm v realm game - stop pointless grinding and go fight in war, duh! This obsession with having the best gear is infuriating, the game should be about tactics in war not who has the Champions Bow of Gold or whatever it is called. NGD needs to get the commerce/crafting bit right, but it's a tough one - I played WoW a few times and just get sooooo confused by the professions nonsense.

v) Wake up you grumpy sods, Regnum is still FREE.

Chilko, that was very well put.

Believe it or not, many of us do believe that lvl 50 should start from a clean slate. That is so there are no "instant-60" roaming around after the update. I believe going the route of leaving 50's starting from 50 regardless of xp accrued from grinding (admit it folks, you didn't care about the xp before, so don't blow up about it now) is the most fair thing that can be done in terms of gameplay. Folks, you were lvl 50 with all that xp, and from the expansion, you will still be lvl 50. Did you -really- expect to be instant-60 or instant-55 or have a head-start of some sort after the expansion? If I were the developer, I sure as heck would not go that route.

This action will make things fair for the whole population, instead of appeasing the few who have gained millions upon millions by grinding for items. But people are greedy, and they will rant like idiots, and they will whine as if they were kicked in the teeth. It's best to ignore that sort of drivel. The clean-slate-50 way is the best option. Period.

Be glad the Devs are as lenient as they are and giving XP scrolls to the population with excessive XP amounts. If I were leading this development cycle, you wouldn't get jack squat, as I would not want long-time item grinders to have a head start over everyone else.

it's the same, maybe digital has a better image quality or other multimedia features.
