Shader model trouble
Like it says... i run on shader model 1.. and this is what i see..
Now Opper checked the graphics card is use , GeForce 7600 GT , and it says that it should support shader model 3... so why can i only run in shader 1, with heaps of lag, graphical errors and not nice and smooth on shader 3?... Here is more examples of just how messed up the graphics can get.. Edit: i run Ubuntu 10:10 if that helps..lol Please, if anyone can help it would be very much apreciated..the lag and graphical issues are making it harder for me to log on...

Have you tried downgrading the drivers / not using nFailia?

Ati Radeon HD 5700 Also a good processor may fix alot of your problem's. I have run RA invasion's at shader model 4.0 with 200+ fps, with the current videocard. |

@op: I would recommend a GTX 460, great performance for the price, and you get the good Linux driver support as usual from NVidia. You should be able to get one with 768mb VRAM for just a bit more than 100€. You can see a benchmark here, showing NVidia GeForce GTX 460 vs two ATI Radeon HD 5700-series graphic cards. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...n_hd6870&num=6
