I think that offensive teleports should go to bridges rather than enemy forts. Beacons should be removed and replaced with area 10 buffs to all with 50% resist to cc.

I did not think the video was a "syrtis winning one". Rather I saw something we older players all enjoyed and crave again.
It just serves to rienforce what we are losing now to certain game mechanics that will not work on Horus. There is no doubt in my mind that the Warmaster spells need a rethink for Horus.

That is , if NGD is not just waiting to spin off this part of the business to another company. Or, spin it off as another company they own (majority) and sell equity in it to raise revenue.

As for Raindance, I see it this way . Like the rest of us, frustration has built up about the condition of Horus and nerves are a bit raw. It just happened to spill over into this thread. I totally understand that frustration. How it came across might be a bit unfortunate.

We are just a bunch of nostalgic whiners who are still locked into the golden age of the game. Sure it was broken as heck but it was incredibly funny and tremendously fun to play even on modest equipment. It may be "better" from a programming standpoint now but it is still as fun on Horus today?

This thread was certainly not a waste to read at all.
haha. yep. Watching that first video is actually what made me write the thread in the first place. Brought back lots of memories and had to say something about it. The gameplay from this update really is nothing compared to back then.

I miss open wars. They was most awesome thing we got in RO. Fort, Invasions are pure crap compared to them. Well we lost them.

Year after year update after update old awesome RO dies. It is sad.

Warmasters sh*te, new saves destroyed everything that was fun for us. Everything!

It was awesome if you was to late at the bridge and than you came there and you saw you realm mates fighting. Or if join the bridge war with a other group. But i ofc no ngd guy who cares about it.

Let me complain a bit too. As you and i dislike WM spells, new save altars and with combination of new(old) invasion mechanics all become furstrating. The thing i hate most is that when an invading realm have all forts/castles of realm which being indaded, the enemies have no option except resurrect at gate. That makes invading realm near impossible to break door in server active time of the day. RO map doesnt even need bridges anymore, so better remove it - this will bring more furstration to players. I know its NGD goal. Another big fail was letting us test WM patch on Amun, but without warmasters. Correct me if im wrong but i didnt see any warmasters when testing WM patch. Well nothing more to say, since many has been said already.

Please take a look on your web page. News says:
"Hotfix finished! (2011/5/27)
Version 1.7.4. Hotfix 2 is now available!"
but the changelog shows:
"Version: 1.7.4 (hotfix 1) (Date: 2011/5/28)"
Hotfix 2 came a day earlier than 1 and there is no hotfix 2 actually. Silly NGD i wouldnt pay salary to your staff members.

Today we run with our zerg from Meni to Imp without tele. Like we did before WM update. Damn, it was so awesome to remember those old days...
