Piranha was mainly meant for the Brazilian market but because they speak Portuguese, they thought it would be wise to FORCE Portuguese players to have no other choice than to play on a server with people that DO NOT EXACTLY speak their language. 80% of the realm chat on Piranha is encrypted for me, Brazilian internet slang is way more complicated than I first thought...

Anyway, I found a way to register NGD accounts without using a proxy. Works for french, germans and americans too. PM me and I'll get you an account with access to Horus the international server.

That's... that's stupid. And hilarious since my mom got kicked out of a brasilian server in another mmorpg because we're in Portugal forcing her to switch back to the international.
I joined just because a friend asked me if I wanted to play this so I'd probably end up in piranha anyway but the international server not appearing to everyone is really just stupid.
Oh, well, thanks for the help.
Just one more thing, I ended up entering piranha with the usa language option and the character creating pages where in english. Does the game language depend on what you chose rather than the server you're on?

You can select the language in the launcher, its a series of flags up at the top.

Fuck all this racial separation, completely idiotic and middleage.

People should be able to join a server when they can communicate in the spoken language there.

And when theres concerns about imbalanced-/over- population there should be added mechanics to control this. Period.

Im DISGUSTED by such crap. People who get barred due to their origin. Really sad.

The game community has done nothing but gone downhill since all the segregation was added. People just want to play together...

Likewise..i'd wanna go back to Ra or to raven, but I'm done feeding money and time for new chars when I have a perfectly working one already. Horus was supposedly the answer to Ra's problems with a dwindling and fragmented english community, now they are intentionally creating such scenarios for other players, not just english speaking ones..personally i think the base is too small yet for so many different localized servers. What fun is playing a ORPG? without the MM...

Segregating by first language is a thoughtful idea to help promote a hale and healthy *single* community under one language, unlike with the international server where several communities have been established around different languages.
Players who speak more than one language act as a bridge between these language based communities but it's still awkward and lessens the ability to play strategically.

*But*, the big issue is they've forgotten to let the player decide for themselves.

I have and old account before Piranha Server and I prefer play on International Server. I had meet many friends after Piranha Server who would to love play with me on Horus... It's a shame when you have obligation to play on a server who you don't want.
I would to know what NGD Studios thinks about this situation... if in a future, the Internationals Server (Horus and Ra) will be really Internationals Servers or if we will to be obligated to play where they want :~

Please just merge all the small servers already. Clans were all that was ever needed for localisation.

I disagree with this.

You're just trading off potential problems communicating for low numbers of players instead. Both have the same effect, but one is much more frustrating. I would rather read the entire realmchat in Portuguese or something than constantly be faced with battles where we are either outnumbering or outnumbered.
