Cant enter - hangs on login screen

Cant enter - hangs on login screen - I use linux.

No errors shows ... just client stops ... do u want strace?

Sounds like it is maybe the same problem as this thread http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum...ead.php?t=1725 ... Solution was to play in windowed mode. Give that a shot.

but client hangs on login screen not on start screen - the last window is shown is that with user/pass/server - i enter my login and pass click "Login" and than client stops ... last strace command ... and nothing more ... it dont work even with the second server.

Same problem, But it does seem to be doing -something- otherwise it wouldn't take up 100% CPU usage. Me think's I'll have a go on linux. I'll report my experience with it afterwards.

Side note: Could a forum mod merge both my posts? Me thinks the forum doesn't like me, treats me like an unverified user.

Anyway, same issue with linux. Might be because the server is down or something along those lines. Or just my security is evil.
I don't suppose anyone could point me in the direction of a Regnum IRC channel by any chance?

Interesting ... when it hangs is it a complete hang? For example, if you alt-tab to another program and then back ... does it come back completely as if it is doing something or does it have that "ghost image" look that a completely hung program has that looks like the program you alt-tab'd to? I'm not sure how to describe what I want, but do you understand?

I've not heard about an error of this kind before and can not recommend additional steps. Maybe the download that you had was partially corrupt somehow? The only common thing I can think of between both instances would be the software download and any hardware (if it is the same box).
