Character Deletion

Hello,

This problem occured very recently with me. I had an account with Alsius characters on it (Im a native Syrtian) so I wanted to delete the characters, of course this would take 15 days. Which is, in my opinion, far too long. I would like to hear your opinions about it.

I suggest:

- 3 Days duration to delete your character with an email notification

OR

- No duration (instant) but with confirmation by email.

I don't think 15 days is such a long time.. you can actualy change your mind in two weeks..
I do understand however, that if you want to start in new realm, it can be a pain. Why shouldn't it be possible to start new char in another realm when the character deletion is on? Ofcourse the character can be reactivated only if the other realm one is in process of deletion...

Email confirmation is not a good option imho, as many people don't use their actual emails or just don't check them.

I'm with OP idea, imo 15 days is too long
I'd like a feature that you can delete a character from RO website with your account ofc, with waiting time

Incomplete poll,instant delete char it was fine too.
If ever i want to switch realms ,balance reasons or even personal ,will discorage me to leave a X realm because of 30 days waiting to switching .
This also will be not in advantage of NGD because i can buy scrolls boost for my new chars...wtv..personal choose ...

I think the 15 day waiting time is fine, the period off time is a nice buffer if you
get your account stolen and keeps your character safe from deletion for a while.

But i admit that it can be frustrating for players when they are eager to play and
needs to delete a char for whatever reason.

Adding an extra feature with a security code to instantly delete character would
be nice, that way if you get your account stolen your char is safe and you can
choose to instantly delete your own chars whit the aid off a security code.

I voted No: a two week cooling off period is fine, however, I do agree with Beardo that there should be a way to override it.

It is a good idea, but if there is a risk of glitching that system or somehow manipulating it, then it shouldn't be implemented - NGD shouldn't allow a hole in account defense (even if it is nearly impossible to use) to muck up accounts. The two weeks is fine. If you do want to join another realm, then I can understand how that can be frustrating, but existing accounts and characters should definitely be first priority.

Tjan what the best part is you wont reach anything with this. Do you realy think that ngd will do this in these 15days for you?

Stop switching realms/spying, problem solved. And if you just want to make another character, use expansion item.

While this is partially NGD's fault for merging accounts, the delay was put there to prevent the frequent database digging they had to do when everyone and their brother deleted their characters either in a fit of rage, or to switch realms (often in a fit of rage), and then came crying to Kailer or Surak.

I don't mean to sound rude in this post, but Haven has been merged for a long time now, and the extra characters are only just now becoming a problem...?
