I am sorry now alsius and ignis have to experience that. Still it is not only syrtis fault, I would blame also ngd for this. Ignis did that when they could, alsius would do that also and now syrtis does that.
Just saying I know how does it feel when you are alone defending gate and see how your gems fade away, that feeling when you can't do anything alone against zerg. Don't take this as offense but I think alsius has bad attitude. Many times if you focused on defending gate instead of your noble you could have saved your gems. Many times when we trying to put your gate in danger we see "decent" amount of alsius trying to get forts back but when we do your gate, almost none of them don't show up. When we get gem out some of them show up but it is already too late. That is why we always say ignis is harder to invade. Because at least usually they try to defend. Believe me, having big zerg gets boring because we don't get decent challenge. I am sure some people would like to change realm from syrtis to another one but after seeing how they treat foreigners I can just say no thanks. Just saying, if you meet someone who want to join ignis as example, be friendly and helpful then that person most likely don't get scared and stay with you. Even one good soldier can make big change in wars. I hope ngd would work on some solution to make things more balanced. In the meantime, I am sorry about this. |

But how can you correct the problems of out-numbered realms with technical methods only? Making Syrties twice weaker? Will you play this game youself in this case? I prefer to have intersting fight/war, but not to be «first in this sandbox». Both, Ignis and Alsius could help each other to defend their realms. Both Ignis and Alsius could play not in individual mode. Until that there is no any technical methods to compensate such big difference in population of realms, not breaking this game at all. |

But they way you make it sound it looks like there is no other solution than teaming up with other realms. NGD is a company which concentrates on improving their game most of the day, it's their job. If they would even put the tiniest effort in it I'm sure they could find something. Are they atm? I'm sure they're not, the same goes for balance.. It just takes time, we all can wait patiently if the update would actually be an improvement for once. |

On the other hand we tend to have too many campers of CS at times, very often we could use some better coordination or strategic thinking. And I'm glad that there still are people who can boost up confidence and help people have fun no matter how many of them are online (when these 'leaders' log off, the struggle begins again, but still we can do quite well ) If I could, I'd hug all Alsirians that still play in such situations (for we lost many people to other realms, games or they just left the game - and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't leave completely if they were happy in RO). We'll see how things turn out - NGD promised us some updates after all (which we are still waiting for, dear NGD ). Till then we'll just have to seek whatever fun we like wherever we can get it. Howgh.

How can you agree, how can you even know. You play syrtis, the amount of times you lose a fort is nothing compared with the amount of times you conquer one.

I generally extend my hate to Syrtis because of the couple of times zergs come, mow us down, and then dance over our bodies. And then later a bunch of them get on the forums and defend themselves, saying they just are the greatest players on earth, it can't be helped.
It's just those few people and those few instances that make me annoyed. I don't hate all gelfs. NGD needs to step up and take charge of this realm imbalance situation.

Come Syrtis, farm us more at Aggers with 50 ppl and four dragonic gem users.
And don't talk to me about player count.. we attacked Efe yesterday, pulled an entire zerg away (~20 or so), and there was still 25 at Agg immediately after we died, and Syrtis lacks any ability to teleport to that fort or get there in a reasonable amount of time from Efe. We still couldn't take it back with half of them gone... And this morning during invasions, not a single person talked in inner realm besides GM for hours and hours, because no one was online. Enemy Hunters just roamed freely through our lands for hours on end because there just isn't any incentive anymore to stop them. One could talk about realm pride, and all of that, but let's be honest, its a game, an online game, an MMORPG, one of the least important things in the world. Moreover, no matter how many times you stop enemies from invading, or kill them in your realm, it has no penalty. Nothing ever comes of it. They will just try, try again. And again. Oh, and again! Until you are no more. And the game does nothing other than reward them for it. Quote:
Currently Ignis has both Alsius gems, so not much of an alliance there. Quote:
Really good logic you have there. |

Generally my tolerance level to being farmed or "losing" in general is very high. Yesterday was the first time ever I just logged of due to lack of having fun and the hopeless situation we were in.
I played Skyrim instead. It was awesome. I'm trying out the latest Shaiya patch right now. |
