Question Best computer for playing this game?

I intend to buy a new computer and I would like to know what kind of computer especifications (and maybe software) are the best there is to play RO. The one I have now is quite good (I dont have any problems with other games) but I want one in wich I can play RO at high render quality without having to lower the settings.
Maybe someone from NGD could answer me too, Frosk maybe?

I'm using the normal Alienware Aurora ALX...i have 75fps on max settings.
Always runs smooth here.
But only my led lights are freaking out when im launching RO...but thats probably a software issue

Whatever you do, don't buy anything with the word 'Celeron' in it.

Ill give you my setup, it works for any game I play.

Intel core i7
32GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
SABERTOOTH P67 (Not sure which version)

Running my OS from a ssd card.

OS; Windows 64 bit home premium.

You mentioned you were able to play other games on higher settings, not sure which and if they are older, but some drivers might be outdated have you updated those lately?

Thanks, I will look at the computer (espicifications) you tell me.
My drivers automatically update, I dont need to do it manually. I've check that.
I havent had any problems at all with other online games (i dont want to put the names here) but with Regnum Online. After downloading this game I always have to lower the settings to be able to move smoothly. Even theisn when I inlog or use a teleport the "downloading..." bar does not move smoothly; it takes sometimes ages before arriving to the end.

It would be nice if NGD besides the minimun requirements to play this game, would put the right requirements to run this game at a high render quality smoothly and without problems.

In the meantime I would appreciate if someone from NGD could also give me some advice in this thread about the hardware and sofwate to buy.

I'm an OSS lover, and I've played RO with the Gallium3D drivers, personally I'd get an all AMD setup with an HD6870 for maximum perfomance with the OSS drivers as the CGN based cards don't have working 3D yet as they are a completely different design then the card I've listed.

My ideal machine: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=21004645 This is just what I'd buy, theres allot of money to be saved by down specing a bit.

Should be able to run everything both already on Linux and damn near everything Valve is supposed to be bringing to Linux just fine and you have the option of using either the Open Source Gallium3D driver or FGLRX blob driver if you need better performance.

Ah, just realized that this is in the regular tech support area, then yeah, swap the HD6870 for an HD7970 and get Win7 64 bit Home Premium OEM. Win8 is a POS like Vista, ME and WinCE.

Though I'd still dual boot Linux Mint 14...

If a laptop is more to your liking I'd get the MSI GX60 http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gx60-1ac0...wconfigure=yes It combines an AMD A10-4600m with an HD7970m for great GPU perfomance and really good battery life.
