Game simply not loading

I don't know if there was some resources uploaded in last 24 hours,I do have some.Now after launcher,resources load fine,although they take unusual long time.After that was finally and i get to the character window actual entering the game just does not hapen,the load bar is stuck at about 2/3 and its still keeps downloading some resources.Just for a joke i left it there for say 3,4 hours :P Didnt move at all and also did not crash.Anyone might know what the issue might be?
P.S.:Reinstaling the game,did not help,drivers are all up to date,safe mode does same.FUNNY?! Even though resources do download at amun,spawning the char. and entering the game is ok

I have EXACTLY the same problem. I cant load the game on windows .I haven't tried running it on linux yet ... It may solve the problem

On linux here with the same problem, guess the resource server is down or something, timeout connecting to 91.123.198.165:80

Solved it by removing that server from game.cfg.

Just tried removing it from game.cfg and it gets re-added around the same time as the splash video comes up, also tried re-ordering them but that gets changed back too. It's got as far as character selection now and is slowly downloading, looks like its having to timeout for every resource before trying the next ip /:

Well, might have worked as placebo for me. Yea, right. launcher resets game.cfg state, so only way is to "hax" launching game directly.

@71175 starting the game with ROClientGame does not work for me, the game does not load at all.

I can easy add this issues to the current list of issues encountered while playing the game.

same problem, cant log in

The loading bar just gets stuck in the middle with download speed 0kb/s

I want lib_astral too :O. I mean that you pass username and password md5sum to game client as command line arguments.

I've been having a similar issue. I purchased a new PC a few days ago and installed RO on it. It updated fine and downloaded all the resources as it was meant to but once I got passed the black screen and onto the loading screen it just stopped loading at around 25%. I left it overnight, woke up the next morning and it was still on around 25%. Tried closing and re-opening it but it never went passed that point. Eventually I just copied my entire up-to-date RO folder off my laptop and replaced it on my PC and this solved the issue. But what if I was a new player or did not have a copy of the updated game, would I have been stuck on 25% permanently?

Things like this really drive away new players. I've seen comments on various MMO review websites where players stated that they weren't able to log onto to the game for the same reason and got fed up and eventually didn't bother trying again.
