This is exactly why you shouldn't make polls. You're only looking for people who agree with you. You'll never get any reliable statistics on anything this way.
Your poll should've had the following answers: - Yes - No - No opinion (optional) It's funny how you actually put those answers in the question and not the answers...

of course if I do not like how you do not like, I wouldn't have created the pol. I hope I have answered unequivocally for you.

The initial poll reason is good. But you need to admit that bois, Kharbon and Pnarpa are right.
If poll is biased, you can't expect proper answers. They're not telling you what to do, but what's best you should do when doing a poll.

There is also an issue of people camping save points, well how about camping the trainer, as well and there you are caught with your pants down without any powers. Anyway, how hard is it to run to a city to reskill? I think the very basis of this question is due to laziness, the old "I wants it and I wants it now!" This is the first game of the genre I have taken advantage of skill-changing, reason behind my not skill changing in other games is I believe if you are going to play a certain role in the end-game one needs to learn that role as they grow up, not go from DPS to support or defense, etc. However in this game there are not dungeon instances to group in and therefore gain exp mainly in groups, instead we are forced to solo-grind as our toons level up. In WoW my Healer grouped from L12-76 (when I quit the game) with 99.9% of the time and exp in groups (or quests relating to instances).
People need to go with what they got and decide if they want to grind or war and keep focused on that rather than skill for each and every situation they run into. This actually works to the player's advantage in the long run for they learn other set-ups vulnerabilities and also how to mitigate their own with creative game-play. Since EQ1 I have done things with group make-ups that people insist can't be done with such a group because I think outside the box. In WoW I had a Shield Shaman that was designed to hunt Rogues in the Battlegrounds, something the community said was impossible (it also made a fantastic Crowd Control tank in groups; healer and support roles, not so much). My Hunter here I am working on making a different skill set, one that everyone says can't be done but I see it and want to give it a try. Only by limiting skill changes can games encourage this thinking out-side the box and encourage players to increase their skills in playing their toon rather than relying on cookie-cutter skill-set of the week. I want to play with great players, not lazy ones. So, no, skill resets are too easy as it is, don't make them easier. By putting skill trainers in WZ you encourage more ganking and more situational skill changes rather than forcing players to get good. |
