That is not harsh, business is business. Recession is recession. If you want change you have to tell it like it is.
Adrian used to play in RA Alsius and now hes a joke. I am not taking my words back this is coming from an old player. Reality Check. Fix this game then you wont lose Haven. Oh yes for everyone's information, I have not seen any Brazillians in Alsius RA so it actually means Piranha was almost dead. The merge was actually to salvage the last remaining brazillians/portuguese who invested in this game. For your reference: http://www.championsofregnum.com/for...ad.php?t=99762

For your actual information before you come whining down here is that NGD ACTUALLY PLAYED THIS GAME.
Not overpowered, harassed by elves and other players too. So they know the gameplay and how people felt about this game until 2010 when it all changed and fled to become admins. SO from 2007 to 2009 this game was playable. FYI. I am not gonna disclose the other admins but atleast for the good part, having to experience the game themselves can be helpful unlike now, hitting normal players like me 60,000 damage just to send me back to save. Im not gonna whine about it anymore this is already a result. Next in line Haven. Hahaha, I get to laugh at it.

Wow... what can a server operations/tools developer do to change the the game situation? Yes, I use part of my free time to gather feedback and communicate some stuff, either to you or to my colleagues. Suddenly I'm attacked as I had all the fault.
Please, I know that you have plenty of reasons to be angry, but don't burn this bridge that I try to keep. You can blame me all you want if the servers are down, if the db is slow, if the website isn't working, if something in the backend is exploding... but about gameplay, I do play (not so much, but I still do) and I don't say who I am for obvious reasons: I just want to play, sometimes I have an idea or a doubt and go online and if I publicly say who I am, I won't be able to do all of that peacefully. I don't know why there's so much hate towards me. It makes me sad, but I'll keep pushing, at least in what I can do. Back on topic: it's simple, it's a server merge. Of course, the detonator of this whole madness was the unfortunate "500 players" mention. I tried to explain and been told a liar. We tried a lot and nothing worked. The game is what it is, I hope that after this update we will work on bugs again and hopefully balance too. But starting to insult will not work, because you're attacking a person which is working all day for this game and motivation is something that we have in excess. The best thing you can do to "teach us a lesson" are those leaving threads, going to another game, stop supporting the game. THAT really touches us and at least I, suffer when I see them. Why also insult me? |

Well, it was said that sometimes it is okay to let the forum be used as a sort of pressure release valve.
Hmm, seems to be a huge excess of pressure floating around . Fotomay, I tend to agree that server have highs and lows but I have an uneasy feeling about this round. I have been through many ups and downs and when I logged in a few times ( very recently) to check, for the first time in probably ever, I became concerned for Haven. Never have I seen such an exodus of senior players and they way they left gave me a feeling of finality. Most times pros leave, you never get that feeling. You always get a sense that if things change, even a little, they are right there to come back. BoaCompra's contract ended. The devil is in the details. Obviously we will never know those details. In my mind is always the why. In a wildly successful server (revenue wise) you will not see contracts ending just like that. Well except in a case of irreconcilable differences between the parties. A very successful server will not see a merge either. If Piranha has the revenue and its overheads are paid for to the point that even minor ( 1 support person that speaks Portuguese) support can be provided, why close it? Therefore, such actions imply that it cannot be sustained. Thus, it probably was not yielding enough profit even when the profit sharer (BoaCompra) opted out. I don't blame NGD for any information release. No matter what happened, it has to be spun to a positive. How it was released here though was unfortunate. Probably, they should have done what they usually do. That is post and lock. Maybe they should do that now. Needless to say, I find that very surprising. Latin America is home turf and NGD , if anything, should be expanding its home base. If that is not happening then something is fundamentally wrong. As for Haven and Game Samba I wish I could speak more to that. However I will restrain myself at this time. PS: Dearest Nohan, I missed you. I only had Krungle and Fotomay to entertain me. |

Piranha was indded controled by a brazilian company called "Boa Compra"(Good Shop).
Part of the problem that i saw in Piranha was that the company did not choose the administrators from the regnum comunity, they have take the concept of managing games for teenagers and brought it to Regnum. It didnt work quite well, and the brazilian company left Piranha, and gave it back for NGD to run. NGD only reason to merge Piranha and Ra is the language, portuguese and spanish are very close languages, although i think they will have a big disapointement, I think they will lose at least half of brazilians clients. Most players from piranha that i know of will just stop playing, so the merge is not quite a merge, is more like a "save who we can save". |
