From my understanding the stats won't apply unless you have a full Dragon set equipped. Sorta like how you unlock the Warmaster Tree. That's the stats for the entire gear, so it seems fair for people who can't buy gear and stuff.

Just curious to see the rest of the items(praying there's no amulet).

If NGD follows this trend of new armor, they should keep creating armor for Warmaster, Champions, and now the World Bosses. It's time there's more sources of free decent gear.

That makes more sense, however if that is the case it would make more sense if the stats are applied depending on how much pieces you have equipped.

For example for a mage with 2 piece equipped, he would receive the +300 mana bonus. Add another piece and he receives the +15% cast speed, and with the full set (assuming there are bracelets too) he would receive the spell focus or healing bonus. In that way it wouldn't be "all or nothing" and give players the opportunity to mix and match with other epic/legendary gear they already have without losing all the stats from dragon gear.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi guys,

our clan already owns 2 complete sets of mage armor.
You gain all stats from the description while wearing Hat, Tunic and Gloves. To our knowledge there do not exist bracelets nor a shield.
There was no weapon drop on Valhalla up until now.
You can see the stats for the other classes on my server (According to clan drops):

Armor Sets are not intended in that way by design. It's all or nothing with this kind of gear.

Regards!

So what's the point of hunting enemy dragons is the stats are all the same?
Since the stuff is supposedly made from the Dragons' hide/scales would it not make sense that the certain resists would be conferred from dragon to gear? I serious doubt a dragon has 'Normal' resists making 'very good' in all categories more worthy of the kill and a 'excellent' thrown in with Realm Resistance Stat and one weapon-type resistant/per realm.

Otherwise you have nice bonuses on what is considered crappy overall resists for End Game gear.

Setting resistances to very good is a huge advantage to dragon geared guys, bringing eq-players to a whole new level. Players with full dragon armor plus jewelry will be unkillable but by people with dragon amor and jewelry.

But I'd like to see more random stats spawned on dragon gear. This would help customizing your char a bit more

Most of my gear, which I consider middling, has good and very good on at least three resists and about half of my gear has at least one excellent. Again, my gear is not all that great having seen many armor sets that the core Alsius players wear. But, perhaps Very Good is too high and the bottom resists should be set to Good with an Excellent for Realm Resist and a random one or two Very Goods mixed in. Dragon armor should be some of the best armor in the game or why make it so hard to kill AND need the full set to get the bonuses?

I believe my present armor on my WM gives me better survivability in war (and I have hit Sanctuary many times with only a few hundred, or less, Hit Points left) and the bonus difference means nothing if you are dead. A perfect example in game would be Luke Skywalker, he hits like a freight train but is not that hard to kill, and there are many other players with similar set ups, all of which Alsius targets first and then moves on to the others with better balance of defense and damage. Now players like Carlos with great defense and good skills typically last much longer in battles and as a result does more, over the course of a fight, to tip the balance to Syrtis's advantage than Luke does.

I believe Luke may take the new armor, but I doubt that Carlos would make the switch. Resists do mean something.
