Attack Speed Cap

Is there a limit to how much of an Attack Speed bonus you can have? I heard it was 50% a few years ago, but I don't know if it's true.

You cant see AS bonus in the character sheet?

I checked on my barb, and no you cannot. Only cast speed bonus is shown. It's probably something NGD should add.

I don't think there is any cap, max you could go what 64%(?) excluding external buffs like Bless. I know about movement speed cap which is 50%, not sure about this. I am using 54% myself currently.

I assume that 54% is including Thirst for Blood? About the cap, you're probably right; I know you can exceed a 50% cast speed for mage, so I suppose it's logical to assume you can do the same for attack speed.

Still would appreciate a definitive answer from NGD, though.

Yes, 7% offhand, 7% wm spear, 2 rols, 5 leggs, Brightforest amu and Tfb 5.

But this is numerical value, there is also that other thing where if you use the same value with a slow or fast weapon, like axe, how would that result in actual attack speed? The medium/fast weapons in themselves have their own AS without using any modifiers, so I think there could be no cap limit.

With my full AS setup which is probably the absolute max without the new AS ammy. 12% offhand, fast axe with 12%, 2 Rol, 5leggs and 4% from the two light armor pieces so 58 with thirst. You still can't pull off 5 fulmihits but it's possible to do 4 +sc with right position. Doubt 5 is possible even with bless and new amu. The animation can't keep up

When I had 3 drac gems, I could definitely tell the difference between each individual gem. I had a bit under 130% unbuffed and my animations were broken but still making contact and killing people nearly instantly. So if there is a cap, it would have to be much higher than you can realistically accomplish.
