the problem is populaition not how many jewel. if server filled with 200 ppl no one give a fuck abt who has what.

you play on RA? when u go play you get get friends to play with and have good time with them. do u care who has how many item on ra? no

its all shit. problem is POPULATION. and that is absent coz game sucks. simple

and if low lvl you just not play the game. lvl 60 is why it is there. dont play low (unintended) then cry high lvl 60 has item. braindead thinking

It's not like in the past when skills really mattered, nowadays it's all about armour, set and jewellery. And if you dont have a good set you die fast, in Haven and in Ra. In war or hunting, low or high population.
On topic, if you want to go to Ra, go. Stop wining about merge. Just go, create a char and play.

There are many other interesting games with better community i can play rather than wasting my time making new caracters in RA.
I have already 2 locks and barb in RA. But i want my caracters in ALSIUS HAVEN to be transfered. There is no way i farm that wmc in a boring fort fight or i grind a new archer or knight.

I want transfer because going to haven with zero people on feels like i got scammed out of all the time and money i spent there. I think NGD is having low regard and bordering on disrespect for their customers by not even allowing them the possibility of a transfer to a server that actually has people to play with.

I'm surprised to see these threads still exist! There are three simple reason the servers wont ever be merger:

If you want to play 2 servers you have to pay more money.
The server side lag will become an issue if there are too many players online.
The combat style of CoR breaks down when zergs get too big.

Right now both Ra and Haven are not at that limit, even the populations combined aren't at that limit. However NGD doesn't want to merge the servers in case the population ever grows too much. I'd guess the limit would be something around 100 players/realm simultaneously online, if they go passed that then the game is just area spams which means:

Marks/hunter never get played.
Conjs are all but pointless unless using sanc
Barbs die before making it to the enemy zerg

NGD are hopeful that at some future time there is 200 players/realm online at once, so they don't want to limit their capacity by merging the servers.


All of that being said, why not just play Ra and Haven anyway? If you're not happy to pay the extra $5 for a mount etc. on Ra then you can't be that bothered about playing. If you're worried about all your OP haven gear, Ra auction house is actually used (in Syrtis at least), there's more players on Ra so more people spamming gear into the commerce tab as well. A merge will never happen, but with the changes to the grinding system there's really very little stopping you from getting on Ra and playing.

NGD, you need to rethink stuff a bit, tell me, what good is regnum for which makes other people play it still? The only 2 +'s are the fights (large scale a bit maybe) and the community. Large scale fights are active in ra and thats fine, but in haven its a mess up. These large scale fights happen in what, once or twice in a month, and that too sometimes unballanced, and also to say dont be proud of the community, it is dead, most half left. So the only reason why regnum is still being played is cuz of its large scale fights, so tell me yourself, why do you think haven should still go? it dosent have large scale fights, no one gets these and why people leave. I think its the main aspect of the game, but if that itself is not there, why do you think people will buy content for $$, there are so many good games out there, which grant a premium account and op stuff, half of the price which u ask for a lvl 60 scroll. WHY would a player even use the scroll for this game, bugs, this and that. no way someone would use it for this. I suggest leaving new stuff, you can try getting old players back by somethings, like old updates, bringing them back to life, or the only way for you is letting people go ra. I think you should stop trying to make $ of those players who will make a new character, mount, xim xim xim for lvl 60 in ra. Stop goging after money already.

Haven sux for a large part of the day.There is always a population imbalance.Im what you call a loyal,long term regnum follower,Ive tried to quit more times then i can remember now,and the only thing that prevents me from quitting is the people.If the people quit i have no reason to play....

Dont know if a merge is the answer,but i would love to see something done by NGD to increase the population on haven.

You cant expect ppl playing same game for years. Forget about old players, all attempts to bring them back resulted only in short term surges of population then mass quit after new content got consumed. This resulted only in frustration of active player base and DEVs (as their effords and invested time gave no long term results)

We need fresh blood not old timers who log only for events/invasion alert and will quit sooner or later. This game has a lot of content for lvls 55+ but when you play for years its natural that you will get bored fast no matter what NGD will do.


Copy/Paste from other thread:

"I always wondered why they wont change exp curve? This should be easy especially now after war zone mobs and cosmetic quests update.

1 000 000 for lvl 50 will be more then enough. From 50 you can enjoy war, do grind if you like (especially now where war zone is crowded with lvl 50+ mobs).

This will make lvling via quests enjoyable as you will reach lvl 50 via questing and minimal grind- no lvl 40-50 black hole. I expect that it will positively affect both players retention and NGD sales. Buying any premium content besides mount is profitable for players at lvl 50+, especialy enchancements and lucky boxes as the stuff you get will be used for long time, is easy to sell in commerce and you see results of your war performance/efforts (like invasions, war master coins) so you are willing to play/have fun (more eager to invest money in game).

The arguing about lost income from exp scrolls is invalid as MOST OF GRIND is lvl 50-60. From lvl 50 you want to get asap to 55 to get elite gear and do also dragon raids, then push to 60 to get war master gear and join TDM. On this road you do war/grind a lot and boosters are most useful here.

NGD just fix a bit exp curve and you see many issues and problems with player retention gone with no loose of income (in fact you get boost cause better retention).

At the moment lvl 40-49 is a black hole, few quests and warzone boost encurage to do war but you meet concrete wall of reality-> beeing 1-2 hits cheap meat with symbolic reward. War exp is nice but its a hell to do enough damage as lowbie to get it and not die in first 5 seconds of action from areas or after being picked up as preferable easy target for high lvl players. This affects players retention atm. and obfruscate any player base growth."

If you want to grow the player base then there's really two options (outside of advertising etc.);

1. Have a simple hook that gives the player a taste of the best content (war)
2. Encourage higher level players to help new players stick with the game.

The first of these is easy to give an example of... You create your character and log into the server, you're immediately level 60 and teleported to whichever fort/castle your realm holds that has war *or if not war exists* you get teleported to an instance of this (regnum has made player bots before - remember the scroll of resurrection). You stay and fight, maybe get a couple of kills, maybe even make a friend or two. Then after a fixed period of time/number of kills/deaths/etc. you get 'faint' and wake up in the initiation zone. An NPC walks up and says... "Hey, you alright kid? You fell asleep here? Weirdo!" And... the grind begins. Every 10 levels or so you 'fall asleep again'. Lock out IPs so people can't abuse the system.

The second is even easier to setup - each lvl 55+ player can take on an apprentice, a <55 player. The low level get help grinding and leveling.. the faster this happens the more wmc/champion coins/gold/exp is awarded to the high level player. The low level lvls 5 times in a week, 10k wmc for the high level; the low level lvls 10 times in a week, the high level gets 15k wmc and a free 1 week mount.

It's not complicated, and it's all stuff NGD can program.
