Indeed I will agree that this conversation doesnt lead anywhere for sure. Yeah not that veteran I am in MMOs just around 10 I played so far but I judge from what I saw. And I understand that companies need money to keep a game running especially ngd whose only profit is provided by players since there is no advertisement or something else and I'm happy to give them credits too. What real matters is ngd should make those credits worth. When game is improved then we can discuss about p2w factors. Till then, log in amigos!

I believe NGD is working on what to order on pizza on the weekends...

on a serious note I hope NGD find a way to get a new engine so they can advertise the game and have new players play.

One wonders if NGD couldn't kill two birds with one stone.. it's a bit of a bizarre idea but one wonders if the client couldn't mine some sort of cryptocurrency that's already tied to games - allow players to enable or disable it, and enabling it will earn some cash for both the user and NGD.

Could also incorporate something where its only mining when you are inactive, so that AFK is no longer an issue/restriction but rather a source of income.

Who knows.. just a thought.

I'm not sure how a new engine is supposed to solve any of this.. the issue is lack of funding and developers, incorporating a new engine stresses both of those problems even more..

I believe I saw some where that NGD complained a little about how limited they are on how to use their current engine something about it being very hard to program or something? anyway I strongly believe that if that's the case then upgrading their tools would strongly help a lot of continue development on Regnum online and a lot more updates.

the biggest problem right now is... they cant afford a new engine at this time.

They did just release an update... sadly nothing has changed with quests nor is the Squid island useful yet. Let's hope they are still on it and on track for a release in the new year?
