Especially if you know that each time you log into a pillar or get the popuphint it tells you: (not wordly) If you die, you get transportet to the NEAREST Pillar.

Thats a LIE, and made run from 1st to 2nd town sometimes with my first char.

so if u get killed in the WZ, do u lose ur stuff? (just want to specify on that)

Nope. Nothing is lost if you get killed by a player. If a mob kills you, you get necrostacy which is basically a fancy way of saying you will have some stat penalties. Killing more mobs that give xp will remove the necrostacy.

No. If you get killed by a player there's no penalty. If a mob kills you, you get 2% necrostacy (you can get rid of it by lvling).
