Regnum eat my RAM..
Hi. All worked fine, up until like 2 weeks ago. So , no, it is not my crappy CPU or GPU or RAM either..
When i start RO, i got like 40% usage of my RAM. Normally it goes up to 50-60% usage ( of the 2 GB i got ). 2 weeks ago, all of a sudden, RAM usage went up to 95% and the game was soooo slow.. Rebooted pc, played, all normal.. I now have it like once a day, and it IS RO that eat my RAM, cause if i kill RO, RAM usage goes down at once. So my question is, what might trigger this effect, and has anyone else suffered from it? Is it solvable, and does anyone have a solution or suggestion for me to try? tnx ---Gooner---

You are not the only one reporting this. I experience this too from time to time. looks like a memory leak for me.

Agreed. I logged in last night to find it a bit worse. I used to get anywhere between 40-70 fps when I'm out alone and around 15-20 in large fort wars. Now I'm getting only 20-30 alone and only up to 10 at fort wars. The game gets progressively worse the longer it stays on I need to constantly relog to keep my fps at 20.
My system: - Ubuntu Gutsy - Pentium D 3.40 GHz - Nvidia Geforce 6600 512Mb - 2 Gig RAM

Has anyone attempted to run the client under valgrind? I'm afraid my lousy 1.5g wouldn't allow it, perhaps someone with a faster computer? Posting the results on here would greatly benefit the devs since they would be able to see what is leaking and fix it faster.

lol! My client eats about 600mb ram at the start, and after an intense fort war it can suddenly eat 1.6GB!
I have a laptop with 1Gb memory, so my hard drive is busy swapping all the time. This leads to significant performance reduces, about 6-10 fps in big fights. Also, it can take 1 hour to shut down the game sometimes. Sometimes it even stays as an process, and I can't even kill it using killall.. :/
