Hows does capture pets work?

i can capture normal- animals, but as i level will i have to upgrade my tame beast skill?

How does tracking work?

I track facing north, but it gives me info on monsters in a random direction.

Yes, you will eventually have to add points to your taming skills, and you will know when it's time as you will no longer be able to tame "normal" mobs.

As far as tracking, it's a 45 deg sweep in the direction you are facing.

Tracking has always been 360 degrees unless they finally changed it.

It tracks in 360 degs but only returns info for 45 deg section of that (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, or NW). It also seems to return info for the furthest MOB/Realm Enemy away from you.

I love when it gives 6 straight false returns in a row even though you KNOW that there is a camo archer -right there-.

Like this...i had to lure him out by attacking a mob (to make it look like i was training). >:}

The tracker is often completely wrong, take anything it tells you with 10 grains of salt.

How is it a problem? Gives tracking a weakness. It is more of a problem that tracking detects far enemies before near ones. That is what needs to be corrected not that there are ways to avoid tracking.
