Today (Sunday) i started getting really bad lag, after having hardly any lag at all since the update. It took the following forms:

- Spell cast delays by several secs.

- I kept running past the same place many times, so that there were times that i was hardly moving anywhere at all.

- My chat text was taking up to 10 secs to appear in the log.

I have experienced all these probs before, but rarely so bad as this - it was totally unplayable.

Maybe my connection had something to do with it, i don't know. It's usually a good conection...

Today I turned sound on after couple of months and my FPs dropped. I turned sound off again and it was all cool.

It's funny. Most MMOs use resources from the files we installed on our computers and we only load the information from servers like positions, numbers and other stuff like that. I don't think that the game should load anything else?
It shouldn't be much different between a wood and a desert. Because, downloading information about 50 players in one place shouldn't make my PC froze to the point I have to push reset button 'cause suddenly after the crash my desktop shows me I have 340x240 resolution with 256 colours enabled, and wait for the Clean Disc to finish operation which takes a while.

I agree with what Demon Monger said a long time ago, resources should be kept on our computer. (Though it leads to hacking)

Does anyone know if this was even tested in beta?

It's been totally unplayable for me all day. Example:

Using my barb i stand about 10 metres away from a mob.

I cast onslaught, spring and charge towards it.

On the way there i pass the same places over and over again.

By the time i get there my 30 sec onslaught has run out...

I had similar lag spikes almost every day even before the update, but hey, it seems now everyone shares it
