Mana Burn or Sadistic Servants?

how much mana does each one take away?
ie,does mana burn take away as much mana as it does damage?

and sadistic servants, any one have a clue how much mana it takes away at each level of the spell.

or is energy barrow (the mana controll mana stealing spell) the best way to go for taking away opponent mana?

any advise is welcome, thank you.

Mana burn does damage who cant be resisted while the opponent has mana, does around 30-40 per tick. It burns more mana than sadistic or mana drain, but it doesnt give it to you.

For me drain mana>mana burn>sadistic servants.

The amount of mana drained of sadistic and mana drain per lvl is 150-300-450-600-750.

Just remember, mana drain gives you the mana instantly, sadistic gives it in 30 seconds but sometimes sadistic is better than mana drain, especially vs targets with low mana.

Energy borrow...

On topic, i always prefered mana burn to saddistic servants with my lock, it's very useful on heavy armoured opponents, since the damage caused by mana burn ignores armor and resistance.

I HATE mana burn. The #1 reason i cast SoTW early when facing a mage is to protect my mana.

It works as described gigo, i'm victim of it everyday, and never noticed a bug.

damage is ~300-500 damage over the time of mana burn. but the mana taken away from the target. only BlooD said any thing about the amount of mana taken, and he/she just said "it is more then the damage"

does any one know numbers?

Sadistic servants gives you the mana, or just removes it from targets mana pool? (if it gives it to caster, does it give the same amount as taken?)

Mana burn deal about 600 dmg at lvl 5 average about 40 dmg / tick
i seen it range from 35-47 at level 5 so the effect can vary abit.
im not sure but i think it removes the same amount of mana.

Yes Sadistic servants gives the same amount of mana back to you
25 / tick at level 5 for 30 sec is 750 mana.

I personally prefer Mana burn, but only when I use lvl 19 mana control.

Problem is, the maximum dmg mana burn can do is the amount of mana a target currently has. Ironically, ppl sometimes survived from my lvl 5 mana burn in fort wars by running out of mana...
