Dracus, on Horus there is realm chat, and spying is very much possible, intercepting army buildups, or army movements, it's a very real fact.

you don't even play on horus, I don't see how you can possible understand the importance of mobilizing an army fast enough to take a castle (most important structure in invasions.)

I'll never get tired of hearing the words you don't and play in the same sentence, it seems the only argument people can ever give me is the one that all my arguments are biased because I don't play 24/7, Necrovarus said it for you.

Here are my arguments on how there is no benefit from "spying"

1.) If an army is attacking a key location like a fort or castle, its known on the map, and even announced.

2.) If an army is building up it will finish building up quickly, by the time another realm interception team comes to "disband" it, the army will have moved or will have repelled the interceptors.

3.) Players are sprawled all across the map, you can have 1 Syrtian leveling somewhere like near a bridge or in the swamp and he will tell you on realm chat if an army is coming that way. Basically there is more benefit from having levelers sprawled across the map giving information, and this is how most information is given, "spying" will never reach a level like this has had since the dawn of Regnum. This is how armies are spotted since as long as I can remeber, this is how its done everywhere. And its not spying, its just keeping your eyes open.

4.) Most of the time the location of the attacking group is well known even without ingame alerts, for reasons like I started in point 3.

5.) You end up fighting the army either way don't you? I think it hardly does you any good if you even happen to know early on, the result is the same, and that is that in most cases you will lose.

Sure it is, but it takes very high coordination, and there is still little if nothing gained from it. You could have some Syrtian in an Ignis horde on Teamspeak, telling his guys back home where the army is, but what good does it really do besides getting to an army real fast? Either way, you fight.

You guys are talking about battles in this game as if only 1 side was full of players and the other was deserted only because "no one knew"

Even if it happens in the scenario I said, its still a very rare sight, and ive never seen or heard of it affecting anything.

Maybe give me a better point to support this "spying" instead of a fat slap across my face saying the trademark: "You don't play" and ill try to understand what your saying.

At the moment I can only laugh at how some people are taking this so seriously, and as if it was affecting every single outcome. Soon people will start to blame losses for spying, and from this whole senseless discussion of spying little morons are promoted by it and will go out there to try it.
