Whats grey karma for? How do you get it?

My current last 5 points were green grey green grey grey, what turns red/green grey and as far as I can tell it has no effect, so whats it for?

I think you get grey karma when the person giving it to you doesn't have not enough karma points in comparison with you.

One grey is from Xia another from Dannboy, the other Is unsigned.

Makes sence since neither of them are big forum users.

Oh yes, Karma can also turn grey if the user don't give enough information. I don't know what it means, but I'm sure I have readed it somewhere here on the forum ><

Can someone that knows 100% explain what it is?
The Green was from Edge, and he called me scum XD

May it be something about the lenght of the comment too?

Afair to give a Karma with color, (green or red) the giver needs at least 20 posts. If the Giver has 20 posts but already gave a karma to someone then he needs another 20 posts. So its all based on your post-count. The value of the karma also depends on your karma rank. For example when you hit 100 karma you receive a 2nd box, and it means karma you give now counts as two karma's.

So if I have 1600 posts for example, then it means I can give out 80 colored karma's. You can apparently also give reputation (which just counts to your total rep unsigned and doesn't show) by rating a users thread for example. Though I'm not 100% sure if this one works. I just rated this thread 5 stars, if Umaril got an increase then it works. I think rating only works if the moderator enables it for a thread though, like the comic thread.

The people that gave you grey karma could have with the intention of it being green or red. They just didn't have enough post count to give it color. Here is the guide anyway: http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum...ad.php?t=10184

Im on 28 Points, dont think the thread rating effected it

Last 3 Karmas were grey, 2 unsigned but from the posts I can guess who from and that they would be red, and 1 signed (would be green) 2 before that were green.
