Unbalanced Realms
Hey, I'm a player of Horus/Ignis and I enjoy going to the warzone to take a little break from grinding every now and then. I've noticed that most of the times Syrtis outnumbers us, pretty much all the time. I'm not posting this thread out of anger or jelousy but I think balanced wars are way more interesting and enjoyable.
Many Ignis players from what I've seen give up after a couple of deaths and leave. Then we end up around 5 versus a whole Syrtis zerg. I'm sure something similar to this has been posted before and please don't jump on me because of this. I'm still new to this. Maybe something can be done to increase the players in Ignis and Alsius. Thanks! |

while part of the problem is that ignis just gives up to easily the other part is that ive noticed.
because ignis has success at night when Syrtis/Alsuis are low numbers they continue to war/invade at these times alot of the time ignis could rally a force to war but hey why bother when they can sit in shaa and wait till night time. don't mean to sound offencivie but it's not like this is something new

Ignis and Alsius have got their new initiation zones before Syrtis in an effort to boost their populations, also there are (were not sure if they are currently active) xp/gold boosts for significantly under populated realms.
NGD are doing all they can, Ignis however, by giving up so easily as you and several others have said, are not helping.

After studying xp rankings from the new server Tyr(if you look at xp rankings for one class in one realm, you don't get a full list and can count how many of each realm there are) I see again that Syrtis is the biggest, Ignis second and Alsius the smallest.
It seems now that this happens at all server, even after the introduction movie got removed. I fear that new players want to be either the good guy or the evil guy plotting for revenge. The neutral/imperial realm Alsius might be too neutral to new players, although I(And maybe more) do like that. Something has to be done to make Alsius more appealing to new players.

Btw, I do not want to say that the first look of Alsius initiation zone isn't good. I like it very much. Maybe something in the introduction story in the realm selection menu needs to be changed.

I think the colors combined with the suggestive Flags have a big psychological effect.
Ignis - competitiveness, the "evil" red: "The most emotionally intense color, red stimulates a faster heartbeat and breathing." Syrtis - elves, dancing, romances green: calm and refreshing color, nature, "Brides in the Middle Ages wore green to symbolize fertility" whte/blue - dwarves, pureness, honour blue :"It causes the opposite reaction as red. Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms. Blue can also be cold and depressing." white: Brides wear white to symbolize innocence and purity. |
