I wish our air force would buy the Saab Gripen instead of the Joint Strike Fighter :/

I mean, the Gripen is already here, much cheaper than the JSF and many functions who are supposed to make the JSF special still have to be developed.

I wouldn't be surprised if we still used them -.- the most advanced fighters are F16, we got them from USA (cause they wanted to throw them out, but hey, Poland wants to pay!)

We have about 50 of them, and always about 90% of them are broken ;P

The Dutch airforce says our F-16s have metal fatigue, which is why we need new planes, they are becoming dangerous to fly. That's why we'll sell them to other countries \o/

Gotta love any aircraft that can dump its extra fuel directly into hot zone of its afterburner. (Edit: Looks like this one did so just post-transonic, which is pretty cool. Must've been a tricky photo....)

The Barbarian of military aircraft.... Once the fatest tactical strike machine, now reduced to being used for parlour tricks at fireworks shows. Difference is that everyone's already given up on their F-111s....

During my last day of military training i managed to steal a book with pictures and specifications of all military aircrafts in use at the time (and some old ones too).

I did 10 months as head of a anti air radar team.
