game issue

hmm, here's what happens.....
I had no problem yesterday, but now the game will proceed past the login page, change my resolution, change my mouse icon, and I will hear sound and music.

yet the game will completely lock up doing nothing but those things. It won't get back that part of the logging-in process. I cannot alt+f4 (sorry I'm still kinda linux nub) out of the game, only way I can do anything from this process is ctrl+alt+backspace and restarting that way to get out.

any ideas?

try alt-enter to window the game, then you can type "killall game" in a terminal

that in fact SEGFAULT my game and it's a sure way of exiting my client and works nice almost always excluding the small number of cases it changes fullscreen mode to window mode without a crash ;DD.

since reboot it hasnt occurred, if this happens again I will try that. thanks
