Im wondering how important are clans in this game? what can you do in a clan and what privileges do you get?

There are really no special clan-benefits in Regnum. It's just a tool to set up a community.

A clan is basically a permanent party. There are not real benefits in game terms, besides what you do with your clan.

There are many reasons to join a clan. Some beginners need to have fast answers and help, some people like to chat while they kill mobs to grow levels, some people like to have a rank or certain clan name over their heads, some people do not want to be ask to join a clan every 5 minutes, some people like to be in touch with their friends when playing, some people like to be informed about what happens in different areas of the map (remember that in the war zone there is not Realm Chat), etc.

To answer literally (is that a word or a bad translation ?

) to the question, I think clans are very important in this game. Join a clan do not gives you any game privilege and you can play the game with or without a clan. But in any MMO sharing the game with other people is a great part of the fun, and joining a clan is one way to do it.
