Default NT and Intel

Hi all.

I'm having problems to play and maybe it's about my system and/or specs (I'm getting 7/9fps in fixed mode):

Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2080 @ 1.73GHz (Duo)
1GB Ram
Video: Intel 945

Who plays Regnum with Intel in Linux? Which versions of kernel, xorg, intel driver and mesa are you using?

Thanks in advance!

The ng3d update improved the performance by giving more load to GPU than before. That means for users with a weaker graphic card the update decreased the game performance. Especially the Intel chips were hurt by this.
There is an option hardware skinning that allows to pass a bit of load between GPU and CPU. But i don't know in which state it gives load to CPU. You might try that. Fixed pipeline and minimum settings is all you can do, I think :/

thanks!. I've reading about hardware skinning. I'found this, related:

The HARDWARE SKINNING option in the video settings can be used to let your video card (GPU) handle the skinning instead of your computer's processor(s) (CPU).

http://forums.firingsquad.com/t5/Gam...ing/m-p/255096

And in the game.cfg for regnum:
Code:
vg_enable_hw_skinning = 0
Too bad, it appears I have already disabled hardware skinning and still getting low fps.

I'll continue investigating. Thank you very much!

Any comments about this will be very welcomed

So far, with my specs I can't play well. 6~8 fps in fixed.

I think it's time to upgrade my pc :P

I'm working on it.
