Default Autopatch failed error

hey im getting a problem while trying to login. Im getting the connection to autopatch server failed error
Iv read the other threads and opened the required ports including on my router. Iv never even had any firewalls enabled in my 8 years of owning a computer and iv never had a problem thats due to ports and such.

Another thing to mention is, i downloaded the game from another source that was 340mb or so, installing into 800mb. It seems to have installed the game fine and the login screen looks okay but wondering if maybe that could be a problem as its not a direct download off the website.
Also, on the login screen i have 3 entries...
User:
Pass:
Server:

Under server, i have 3 options..
Date
set-cookie
var gaJsHost = (random gibberish)

Is that normal...?

Sorry for the long post, but i really want to login and check things out and this problem is absolutely doing my head in, thanks in advance

I am getting that message as well. It worked fine last night.
