the game is completely hanging up OS

the game is completely freezing and hanging up in addition with the whole system - very rarely, but occasionally: the system does not react at all and i have to restart the computer.
It happens on two different computers with the same OS

OS - OpenSUSE 12.2 X64
Video card - both Nvidia with proprietary drivers.
