I was excited to read on another thread that people could no longer run backwards and just unload on you, because I'm trying out the Barbarian class, and frankly get quite annoyed that I can't even reach someone to get a hit because they just keep running backwards (at full speed, no less, very unrealistic). But I suppose enough stink was raised that it quickly went back to the old way. It obviously isn't enough that one can shoot an arrow or spell over a great distance and get some good damage in. This should be enough to level out the playing field, that you get range. But constantly tip-toeing backwards, while shooting, and moving at full speed? Ridiculous.
And yet, these same players getting such insane advantages are hem-hawing because of the awesomeness of the South Cross. What exactly is the problem? That it whips one down to few hitpoints in seconds? Well, when you stop running backwards every single blasted time you're confronted, I'll stop South Crossing the crap out of you. Thank goodness for paralyze-type abilities, because these people are game for a fight, until they realize the old "run backwards" trick isn't going to take you down, then they run like crazy. It's all good though, cos constantly prancing around backwards is enough to mark one as a rather soft player. I won't need to see a color indicating difficulty, as this ridiculousness is enough to mark one out as "easy".
