Strange Input Problem

Hi there! A friend of mine is having a strange problem with her regnum client. Her initial config was with fixed pipeline, so i suggested her to change to PS 3.0
After the change, she is unable to input the 'J' and ')' chars in the chat tab.
She is using Windows XP on a HP laptop (don't remember the model). Graphic card should be an ati 4000 mobility radeon series.

Any suggestion?
