However the average American rather IS uneducated. Of course I blame the educational system in the USA for continuing to teach good old self-centered inside the box isolationist methodology to our younglings.

Ask the average American what the most evil nation in the world is. Your reply will be something along the lines of Germany and Hitler.

As for European stereotypes, there are plenty:

Ze French: Everyone knows Frenchies are cowards, their tanks have 4 gears backward and 1 gear forward. On top of it they eat frogs and slugs and have poor hygiene.

English: Brits talk stuffy always, have obsessions with tea and biscuits, and have horrible teeth. Cute little punk bikers.

Spaniards: Bull fighters who speak a loud squeaky dialect of Spanish. Enjoy throwing crazy parties and dancing the flamenco.

Swedes: All Swedish women are gigantic blondes. Swedish people are pirates by default and worship Ikea.

Poles: Poland itself is always thought of as some poor country. Common American saying that they're stupid. Catholics and sex crazed.

Russians: Communists. Drink vodka 24/7. Live in the snow, and all Russian people are bears on unicycles.

Enjoy. Offended? Yeah probably as much as I was.
