January Surprise

Hi guys,
If you recall some of the NGD staff talked of a surprise in January. I haven't been able to play this last 20 days or so because Im on vacation and I have been moving around a lot. It is now February, and I do not see anything about a surprise here. Can you guys please tell me what the surprise is if I have missed out? I know there was a recent hotfix but Im not too sure if that's the surprise.
