It's not raining!

The sky goes dark and I can hear thunder and rain falling but I can't see any rain on my screen! I asked my party members if it was raining on their screen and they said yes. I love to see rain in my MMO's. Why doesn't it work on my computer?? I have all the graphics settings maxed with the latest video drivers installed. My video card is an ASUS EN7900GT. I want to see the rain!
pls help
