It has more to do with trying than not trying.. I agree that most of the time players don't move from CS, or do anything useful.
However, you can only take back the same fort so many times in a day, you can only watch the same light turn orange or red so many times in a day, you can only get killed repeatedly by the same zerg so many times in a day. No matter how many times you win, its a short lived victory. It wears on you, breaks you. That is why most give up. And you know there's no point to such stress in an online game (its just a game), so they go to chat, eat dinner, or log off. -- What is your character name in-game?
