Just downloaded having problems

I downloaded the game from steam, when I launch the game the main screen pops up (I guess that's what it is) and it says "Loading" I let it sit for 2 hours and it never finished "Loading" there's no progress bar if there should be so I have no idea what is being loaded. But I can click "Ok" at the bottom of the window and enter my account info. When I do that it says "Logging In" after about 20 minutes it finally says it's not able to connect to some server. -- What can I do ?

On top of that if I close the window, it messes up steam and won't let me load any other game or try to reload CoR again until I force close Steam.
